Katherine didn’t want to have sex right now. It might have been horrible, but she didn’t want to have sex with Sam until she knew that he loved her. It sounded uptight or something, but it was just what Katherine thought what right. When he told her that she was hot, she shook her head with a small laugh. “You’re sweet,” she smiled again, looking up at him. “So how was your day?” It was a horrible question, but she felt like all they did was kiss and cuddle. Talking was good, too, right?
Sam was caught off guard by her question. He was used to touching with her, he was used to cuddling with her, he was used to sex with her, but he wasn’t used to plain talking with her, which was actually kinda sad. It wasn’t unpleasant though, and it thought they could just talk - that it could only be a good thing. “My day was pretty chill. But it’s even better now that I’m here with you,” he answered, charmingly. “What about you, beautiful?”
As they lay together, Katherine stared up at Sam. This is where she belonged now. Sam was the person who was going to keep her sane through this entire thing until it was over. Well.. if it was ever over. And she would do the same for him. She would promise him later, but right, the silence was nice. It was the calmest she’d felt since losing Matt. As he moved his fingertips against her skin, Katherine took in a deep breath, then let it out slowly. When he broke the silence, a small smile spread across her lips slowly. She draped her arm over his midsection, moving in closer so that their bodies were touching. She just needed to feel close to him. She pressed her lips against his chest softly, peppering her kisses in a small area of his chest.
Sam looked at the girl pressing her lips against his chest. Each kiss was burning his skin, like the fire in his heart was now spreading to his whole body. Their touches were electric, but too pleasant to want them to stop any soon. Her hair all over his chest, he was now playing with one strand of hair. She went further and further, forcing him to breath louder. “Hot. That’s another of your quality, you’re freaking hot,” he told her. He wanted to celebrate her, to make her feel better than she ever felt. She deserved it.
Katherine was very happy that Sam didn’t deny her the kiss; that he was actually the one who initiated it. When they pulled away and she spoke, she could see the look on Sam’s face. She instantly felt horrible. She was making him feel bad and that was the last thing that she wanted to do. When he looked at the ground and she hated herself for it. She shook her head slightly, raising her hand to his cheek, making him look at her. “No, you don’t have to be sorry. I understand it completely, I do. I wish it was different, but it’s not. I’m okay with it. I have something to hold onto though. The fact that someday, you could love me makes me feel a bit better.” She nodded softly, then wrapped her arms around his softly. She buried her face into his neck, holding him close.
Sam wasn’t lying when he said he could read right through Katherine, and he could see how scared she was, how fragile she actually was, and he wanted nothing more than showing her she had no reason to be afraid. They lie on the bed, cuddling. His fingers were drawing circles on her skin, right where her shirt was a little raised up. His hand moved higher and reacher her face, that he stroked softly, and eventually he let his fingers run through her hair. It wasn’t just about getting into her pants, as cheesy as it might sound, he liked to hang out with her, to cuddle with her, to sing for her, to touch her. “You’re beautiful,” he let out, totally mesmerized by the girl.
“Smile” by Uncle Kracker
It’s what I do best.
No you need to choose and it needs to be a happy song.
The cutest of the cuties.
Fine, lady. What about ‘Smile’ by Uncle Kracker? Does this song please your cutie self?
A song would be nice, songs are happy, songs are good. That was a little preschool rhyming there but yeah.
Well, pick the song. I’ll sing anything, Hannaboo.
Not funny, Sammy.
Oh, sadface. Do you need hugs? Or a song? Orrrr something to eat?
Samuel Evans, at your service, lady.
Katherine awaited Sam’s arrival as she sat on her bed. Her heart was pounding a million miles a second, it felt. When her door came swinging open, she saw him smile. It was the smile she’d missed ever since she told him that she loved him. She did. She could feel it. She would always love Matt, but now, she loved Sam. He would be with her forever, whether he liked it or not. She stood from the bed and practically ran to him. She smiled again as he put his hands on her face, then leaned up, pressing her lips against his. She moved her lips against his softly, before pulling away, staying close to his face with her’s. “I know you can’t say it, but I can. I love you, Sam. I want it to still count.” She closed her eyes slowly, letting in a deep breath, then letting it back out.
Feeling her lips on his, he realized how much he had missed them. He didn’t know he could miss someone that much, that someone could be so important to him. Their lips meeting was feeling so normal, but yet so pleasant, Sam even wished for being able to kiss them all day. When they finally let go of each other, she let out the three words he couldn’t say. The three words she was dying for. The three words that could change everything. He was now feeling guilty and looking down at the ground, he whispered “I’m sorry…” before hugging her tightly. He needed to show her.
I’m in a mood.
I guess I should hide my bag of Doritos then?
Even after everything, Katherine still needed to be with Sam. She was happy that he still wanted to do things with her, as in starting over their relationship, thing. She just wanted to be with him right now, in anyway possible because it could be the last time. No one knew for sure. She sat on the bed and waited for him patiently. Hopefully, he’d waist no time and like tackle her or something.
Maybe it wasn’t the right thing to do. Follow your heart, they say. Well, he was following his. Sam was confused about everything in his life right now, but he knew he wanted to be with Katherine. He wanted to hold her, and kiss her, and touch her. He couldn’t tell those three words yet without the ghost of his past relationships coming back, but he could be with her. He rushed to her room, already missing her scent and opened the door with the brightest smile when he saw her looking up at him. “I missed you,” he said softly before pulling his hands on her face and kissing her.
